Pours grapefruit juice colored with a thin white head. Nose is hearty bready yeast, fresh flowers, some citrus including orange and grapefruit. Taste is puckering tart, lightly sweet. Palate is light and a cleansing tang. Too tart for me on its own, but paired with some of the cheeses they have, it works really nicely. Refreshing. Could replace your morning juice with breakfast :)

Draft to snifter. Looks good; opaque with ample coronation and nice lacing. Smells good too; tart and boysenberryish. Tastes nice; good balance and friendly on the palate. Nice!

Lots of berries in the aroma. Pours a cloudy light reddish color. Taste is well balanced between sweet and tart. Sour is not overwhelming. Finishes a little sweet. Solid tartness throughout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’ve been waiting a full year for Brugge to brew this again. Thank god they were able to manage enough boysenberries. This beer poured a medium to light bodied creamy and cloudy raspberry red in color with a soapy one finger, off white head. The nose is comprised of tart berry, Belgian yeast character, some lacto, and a subtle berry sweetness. There is a light spice on the finish as well. The flavors are full of fresh, tart berry with a mild sweetness. It is off dry yet still has a nice creaminess in the flavor. It finishes with a moderate amount of Belgian yeast. It’s delicious. It drinks between light and medium in body and leaves a nice jammy tartness behind in the aftertaste. This is very drinkable and a beer you’ve got to try. It’s a tough choice between this and Harvey, but I love Harvey. This is a little fuller in body.

On tap the brewpub poured into a tulip...The beer looks like liquid grapefruit, I think its pretty ugly. A light pink head with great lacing...The aroma is light sweet fruit, I can’t really place it. I’m told its boysenberry so I guess I need to eat some of those. A little tartness, but less than what I’m looking for...The taste is ok, a weird fruity sweetness, lightly tart, some oak comes through. Like a juice mixed with sparkling water. Its not bad, just not blowing my socks off. For Indy, I’m impressed, especially from what looks like a first wild attempt. An average wild worth giving a shot, at the very least its sweet and highly drinkable.

Sample from some generous folks at Jackie O’s on 2/5/11. Pours a clear light red with no head. Funky and a bit pukey nose with some fruit. Sour cherry and apple on the tongue with a funky and tart finish.

Sample at the Jackie O’s Bottle Sale/ Stout and Big Beer Fest on 02/05/2011, ans again more recently on draught at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy rhubarb-amber color with a minimal off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of sour fruit and grainy malt. Medium body with a tart fruity character and notes of berries, malt and yeast. The finish is oaky and fruity with a tart aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Great mild smell of sour cherries. Flavors are so perfectly balanced. Cherries, floral, hibiscus, great funk. This is a sour beer for people that don’t like sour beers. I could drink this for the rest of my life.
