3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great Taste of the Midwest, 2015. Orange color. Moderate head, not sweet like so many tripels. Alcohol is a prominent flavor here, and it reminds me of Westmalle in that regard. Some light spice; grains of paradise maybe? A little sweet malt in the finish.

Notes of bubble gum and crisp hops. Pour is golden amber with a white head. Flavor is a little fruity and has some hop presence. A little smooth on the initial intake.

I had this five years ago in Clarksville and didn’t rate it because I couldn’t find it in the database. Tasty as I recall but the body is not living up to what I remember. Almost like bubble gum. Delicious. Wait a second; hold the phone. This is a 10% ABV beer?!? Very well hidden.

Pours clear amber with a big creamy beige head that dissipated fairly quickly. The aroma brings sweet light orangey clove like esters. The flavor brings not too sweet wine like Belgian yeast with the pears suggested for sure, vanilla is almost extremely light though. Body has lost carbonation

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
6oz on tap at Twenty Tap. Clear kind of darker orange color. Thin ring of off-white head. Some dots and bits of lace. Bigger body, kind of slick, definitely thicker. Lighter carbonation. Caramel, belgian candy sugar, some dried fruit. Moderate sweet taste, lightly spicy light bitterness, light alcohol warmth. Decent amber-tripel. Fun to try.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Solid Tripel. Good nose, dark fruit, bready, yeasty... Is this not what you want? It to go down smoove, it does, ass. It just needs a little more carbonation.

On tap at Tow Yard. Medium orange-golden color. A strong, fruity aroma. Taste is more subtle, but the sweet (pear?) comes through. Very balanced flavor, with a slight alcohol burn at the finish. A light/medium carbonation. Really good.

Draft. Fresh orange malt and astringent alcohol aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange-lemon malt flavor with a moderately astringent finish. Very nice - solid tripel.
