2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft pours a golden body with a thin lacing. Loads of alcohol latent fruity esters, gum, bananas, citrus, and apple skins. Drastically sweet malt body with a transient lemon tartness for balance. Wow overbearingly sweet. I tried to pawn this off but was to late.
My notes say 2.8- i think this might even be generous.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at Barcade - fizzy, hazy gold - lots of things about this beer tasted off - there was a spicy kick and phenolic character that seemed intentional, but aside from that, it was overly sweet, and had this odd, almost chlorine-like flavor to it - slight tartness and acidic apple qualities - pretty darn bad.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at Barcade. Very, very estery aroma, tons of bubble gum, sweet banana, phenols. Flavor is cloyingly sweet in the finish, with some spice and cinnamon and yeast accents up front. Hardly Belgian tasting at all, so overwhelmingly sweet, near undrinkable. Probably the worst Tripel I’ve ever had.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Barcade. Pours a medium golden slight haze with a thin ok lasting white head and slight lace. Aroma is initially packed with nice earthy and phenolicy yeasty spices - cardamon, ginger, etc, but then goes into a garbage funk with lots of DMS and cooked vegetables- corn and carrots.
Flavor is a slight slick somewhat sweet pale malts with light caramel, toasted bread, and a hint of lemon zest along with a bit more DMS but not as powerful as the aroma. Finish is a bit prickly and harsh. Meh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle courtesy of stfun aka the man... Light yellow in color good head. Aroma and taste and pretty much the same. Nice lemony taste, very crisp and zesty. Touch of spices and banana as well. No way this beer was eleven percent.... Not a trace of alcohol in it. Over all a solid triple. Thanks Josh

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at the brewpub. Pours hazed dirty yellow with some snow white head. The aroma is pretty straight forward banana and peppery or colve spice notes. Flavor is nice. The banana and spice are well blended and balanced. Medium body with ample carbonation and a balanced finish.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 My Bottom Line:
A prominent bready yeast character swirls around herbal hops and cracking straw in this authentic and fluffy Tripel.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the misty golden sunshine.
-The aroma is too yeasty for my tastes and borders on being vegetal.
-The spicy, herbal hop bitterness is delicate and engaging.
-Polite tropical fruitiness adds complexity.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good sized white head of varying sized bubbles. Great carbonation keeps a thin hot spot of foam on the surface. Light fruity aroma, with some yeast and spices, oranges and a bit of flowers. Hazy orange in color. Wow, unique flavor. Lots of oranges, chewy sweet malts, light yeast and spices. Noticable alcohol presence but does not really detract from the flavor. Velvety soft in the mouth and very mellow. No bite to this brew at all which kind of means very little hops to me. Finishes soft and mellow with a little lingering orange and malt. An interesting brew that I am not sure should be a triple but then again, I am not sure what other category it should go into.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle
Picked up at Keg Liquors in Clarksville, IN this is the second time that I have tried this. On a fresh palate it was completely different than after thirty other samples. I’d love to try it one more time if I can find it on tap; perhaps my bottle just wasn’t that great.
Aroma / Appearance - A foamy huge two finger head subsided down into a golden fluid body. Honey, graham crackers, cotton candy, and a bit of ham make it different than most tripels.
Flavor / Palate - Chewy honey and cough syrup drop this to average at best. A warm vinous finish improves the tasting. Bready and dense at times it alternates between solid and bland. In the end I wouldn’t mind giving it a third chance if I ever make it to Indianapolis.
