UPDATED: FEB 4, 2011 Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a clear brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate malt and sweet spices. Medium body with flavors of toasted malt, fruit and ginger. The finish is malty with a caramel and spice aftertaste. Hard to characterize this beer other than a spiced Dubbel, but it is decent overall.
