Bright amber colour, with a short flat head. Initial burst of citrus on the tongue, gives way to a slightly chemical tang and bitter after taste. Drunk at 10 deg C Not overly impressed.
2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Gr0ve (1875) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 10, 2005
330 ml bottle. Golden amber. Lively carbonation with a persistent head. Terrible aroma. Smells like a pair of old rubber boots. I feared that this beer was totally off. It ain’t, but it sure smells awful. Flavour is full of caramel, and the alcohol is noticeable. The carbonation dominates the palate. Aftertaste, is thin. There is still a year left until the best before date, so I’m a bit uncertain what is wrong with this beer. I’ve still got a bottle left, so I’ll give it another try in the near future. (Final note: Just for the record; I emptied the bottle.)

Bottle. Clear amber coloured beer, large white head. Malty nose, with hints of citrus and orange. Sweet malty taste, again citrussy, ends grainy with a light hopbitterness. Bit sticky palate. Seems to lack refinement and complexity but enjoyable for a monday-evening..
