Bottled. Ginger brown colour, Belgian styled head. Burnt sugar and alcohol aroma. The alcohol crashes out the rest of the beer. Burning ethanol and burn sugar flavour. Lasting bitter something. What ever it is ain’t great.

Pale orange, white head. Flavour is slightly of unfermented wort, some sourness. Drunkable, but not really good.

Clear light orange color, short head. Aroma is sour of fruit, bit sharp and metallic, some alcohol. Sharp alcoholic taste. I pity myself buying a 4pack.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - SEP 22, 2004
Sweetish-malty aroma with some overripe fruits and yeast. Hazy, amber coloured with a medium, off-wgite, lasting head. Taste is malty-sweet, some fruits and yeast. More bitterness in the finish. Bit sharp and alcohol noticeable. Not too great.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ThomasE (5176) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2004
Dark but fairly clear orange colour with small to medium head. Aroma is sweet with some yeast. Flavor is also yeasty but with some caramel malts. Finish could be better.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 6, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2004 (Bottled, BBE 09/2007) Hazy dark orange/light amber color with a medium, lacy head. Sweet, sourish and alcoholic aroma with honey. Fruity, sweet-sour, a bit cardboardy flavor with a hint of spiciness. A drier, slightly bitter finish. Medium-bodied, sugary, quite foamy-carbonated and slightly alcoholic palate. Not very refreshing, slightly cardboardy and metallic tripel. Ok, but there are much better tripels around.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bov (7354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 7, 2004
red-amber colour with a fine creamy head and a nice lacing, aroma of haye and spices, notes of apple, creamy mouthfeel, lot of carbonation, dry malty and rough bitter finish - it is ok but not as good as the former version which was one of my old time favourite
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pimgref (86) - Gorinchem, NETHERLANDS - JUL 6, 2004
Straight forward tripel. Good taste not to bitter but lacks that special something.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Kåstå (1221) - Mol, BELGIUM - JUL 2, 2004
Amber coloured beer with a medium head. Light hoppy and malty aroma. The taste is nothing special. Belgian tripelish but something is lacking.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MartinKubert (862) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2004
Sweet and bitter both aroma and flavour. Low carbonation. The finish lacks the fruity bitterness from the Brugse Tripel.
