2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 GT2 (3434) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 15, 2010
330mL found fairly easily in West Flanders. Poured into a weizen glass by our bartender (?). Looks like a Czech pils- very bubbly piss yellow. Nose of light yeast, candi sugar, nothing else. Taste is sugar, light hops. Soda palate. No way this is bottle refermented. 5/2/5/3/10=2.5
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 tkrjukoff (2284) - SWEDEN - NOV 7, 2010
Pours clear amber whith small off white head leaving some lacing on the glass. Aroma is full bodied, sweet malty, caramel, hops, hay and herbal. Lean crispy acidy mouthfeel. Flavor is full bodied malty sweet, citric, fruity, hoppy, floral and sour like gueuze. Acidy sour, a bit flat palate. Finishes acidy sour but also sweet fruity leaving a tart hoppy aftertaste ... and then suddenly strawberry bubblegum in thea tart bitter. had to ask my wife and daughter for a second and third opinion, same bubblegum there, too.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Defreni (1781) - Husum, DENMARK - OCT 21, 2010
Flaske: Gul uklar øl med et stort skumhoved. Duften er præget af gæren men ikke på den spændende måde. En yderst ordinær og kedelig trippel der bare ikke spiller efter en fantastisk øl aften.

Pale golden pour with a thick fluffy white head. The nose is lightly spicy with a soft touch of lightly fruitiness on the back. A little bit of apricot – but this is quite subtle. There is a little bit of lightly metallic character that thankfully fades. A little bit of clove as well as some light Belgian pale malt. It’s a pretty decent – if decidedly typical tripel. A bit peppery.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 villy83 (262) - Sausalito, California, USA - SEP 6, 2010
Bottle from a Brussels supermarket. It pours a hazy dark orange colour, with a high fine white head. The aroma is grassy, with obvious Belgian hops, a fine presence of malt and a hint of honey and yeast. The taste is very well balanced: intense malty flavour, with nice hops, orange, honey and yeast (it really smells like it tastes). Full bodied and fizzy, with a medium bitter and sweet finish. A surprise, as it is not one of the best known Belgian beers. Very refreshing tripel with no alcoholic taste at all (despite being a 8,7%!).
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 KyotoLefty (3480) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 3, 2010
Bottle. Slightly dark gold with a high, fine head. Hop and golden malt aroma, grass, honey; very fruity. Well hoppy, peppery flavor. Nice and well-balanced with good hops plus nice, rich malt. Very clean. Rather orthodox.

On tap at a pub in Belgium. Light gold pour with a big fluffy head. Aroma holds light hop, yeast, citrus and peach-- classic tripel. Flavor is fruity, yeast, with a decent nectar fruit profile. Palate is light and effervescent. Decent brew.
