Brugge Tripel is the unsurpassed city beer of the people of Bruges. This beer has a well-rounded malt character, an aromatic hop character and a great complexity of flavours. The taste truly evoques the very best of Bruges!

Bottle 33cl. Sweet grainy nose, bread, grass, citrus, dough, banana, light bubblegum; slightly hazy golden color, nice frothy white head, reduces to thin layer that stays; medium sweet taste, yeasty, citrus zest; full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation; medium bittersweet finish, spicy notes; strong but but alcohol is well hidden, good example (no-nonsense) of the style

330ml bottle at home. Decent tripel but a weird combination of spices. Not what you expect of a tripel.

33 cl bottle @ home. Deep golden yellow beer with medium white head. Fruity aroma with some malty notes. Taste is mostly bitter, as one would expect of a tripel. Decent beer.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2015 Goldene Farbe. Schaum fein und perlig. Nicht lange anhaltend. Geschmack nach Honig, Getreide und Datteln. Im Mund süsslich und feiner Hopfen. Bier ist gut.

Head and aroma is more like an extra strong pilsener Alcohol overtone, it’s an ok drink but not what one would expect from a tripple.

Bottle, actually a couple of times in Bruges including the remarkable De Buhne. Bright golden colour, decent white head. Quite a full tasting tripel, sufficiently dry although a touch boozy, quite some spice, yeasty and gruut although not overpoweringly spicy. Decent.

Bottle, as Brugge Triple gruut. Rose gold with a white head. Unrefined but cheerful grainy aroma with some honey, orange peel, surprisingly mild spices. And so it tastes. Not all that sweet, alcohol is reasonably well hidden, bitter and just about dry enough at the end. Not very classy but OK.

F: white frothy but quick gone and forms thin film. C: hazy yellow orange. A: malt, banana, yeast, hint of earthy/cellar notes. T: malt, white sugar, green pepper, coriander, orange peels, citrus, nice grass bitterness, medium body and lively carbonation, typical Belgian tripel not very special but I think a little under ratted.
