Pours clear amber whith small off white head leaving some lacing on the glass. Aroma is full bodied, sweet malty, caramel, hops, hay and herbal. Lean crispy acidy mouthfeel. Flavor is full bodied malty sweet, citric, fruity, hoppy, floral and sour like gueuze. Acidy sour, a bit flat palate. Finishes acidy sour but also sweet fruity leaving a tart hoppy aftertaste ... and then suddenly strawberry bubblegum in thea tart bitter. had to ask my wife and daughter for a second and third opinion, same bubblegum there, too.

On tap and at half hour at our hotel so I couldn’t turn down this 23oz pour with 1.5 euros...Pours a dark but very clear gold. A thick white head has very good retention, ok lacing...A light aroma of floral hops, and corn, very sweet for a tripel...The taste is really light buts its incredibly easy to drink at almost 9%. Corn, light flowers, bitter finish.
This is not a very good beer, but its basically a high alcohol marco that’s super easy to drink and not skunk water to drink. If I lived in Belgium and just wanted to get hammered cheaply and quick, this is a good bet.

gifted by my mum who visited the city of Brugge, not one of the better tripels i tasted but still a good example i think, the smell is a bit oakey and earthy but the taste quite straight forward triple. not very complicated but taste very close to the aroma. Bit soury after. Not bad!

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2004 Crystal clear, light amber ale with a large, frothy, white head. Decent retention. Great, honeycomb lacework. The nose is of cinnamon, clove, stewed apple and pear, roast beef, banana and white bread. The well-balanced flavor is citrusy, vineous and dry. Well-bittered. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Dry, chardonnay-like finish. Thanks to jbrus for the bottle.

Drunk on 06.06.06:
Pours a clear and sparkling orange/amber color with a big, white, frothy and stable head that lingers for a while and leaves a giant creamy lacing.
Fresh floral and fruity aroma with some aromatic hops and a fine blend of malt and yeast. There are notes of peaches, vanilla, banana and some tree flowers with everything covered with a honey layer. Very subtle caramelly traces start to appear with warming.
Flavor is sweet and very fruity with lots of esters and touches of fruit salad, palm syrup and tropical fruits. Rich and not so extremely complex.
Alcohol doesn’t overpower the pompous character of this drink. Texture is a little light with a watery resemblance but there is a nice sticky and sugary finish. Carbonation is almost unnoticeable. A really good full flavored and not over-the-top Tripel. Underrated.
