2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 GT2 (3953) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 15, 2010
330mL found fairly easily in West Flanders. Poured into a weizen glass by our bartender (?). Looks like a Czech pils- very bubbly piss yellow. Nose of light yeast, candi sugar, nothing else. Taste is sugar, light hops. Soda palate. No way this is bottle refermented. 5/2/5/3/10=2.5
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 77ships (976) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 14, 2011
bottle@home: there is nothing tripel about this, tastes generic, unimpressive malts, minor sweetness, hint of spices, minor bitterness only in the aftertaste, bland overall, mass production crappy attempt at a tripel
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 mutz (121) - NETHERLANDS - APR 8, 2012
Goudkleurig, royale kraag die snel verdwijnt. Weinig aroma, weinig smaak, niet voor herhaling drinkbaar.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Beltramelli (471) - Campinas, BRAZIL - SEP 1, 2008
Creme denso mas pouco consistente. Aroma frutado e cítrico. No paladar, a carbonatação excessiva estraga o conjunto. O final é curto.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Kirill (277) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 19, 2007
looks and smells like a mediocre hefeweizen. tastes like a shitty version of a franziskaner.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Spiesy (2336) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - OCT 1, 2004
Bottled. Ginger brown colour, Belgian styled head. Burnt sugar and alcohol aroma. The alcohol crashes out the rest of the beer. Burning ethanol and burn sugar flavour. Lasting bitter something. What ever it is ain’t great.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 jerohen (1793) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - JAN 5, 2009
Horizontal tasting Bruges (Brugge Tripel) vs. Ghent (Gentse Tripel). Bottled (thanks mom), BB 30-10-2006, sampled 05-01-2009 (about 5 years old). Small dying head, dark golden coloured. Aroma of orange, caramel and some spices. Sweet and alcoholic flavour, some malts, cloying. Finishes dry. Pretty awful tripel. Past its peak at this age, or just never really good? Ghent wins this one, hands down.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 tenghave (402) - Taastrup, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2007
Lys/Gul øl.
Duft af alcohol og belgisk gær.
Smag: som alle andre tripel - ikke synderlig kraftig, derved let drikkelig.
Ej fyldig.
Sød
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2004
Bottle bought in Belgium
Pale orange, white head. Flavour is slightly of unfermented wort, some sourness. Drunkable, but not really good.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 NoiZe (2325) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - DEC 27, 2005
Orange coloured brew. Aroma is not too good, a bit yeasty and apple. A bit chemical too. Does not really taste like a tripel. Hollow taste, not too exciting.
