COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brugge Tripel is the unsurpassed city beer of the people of Bruges. This beer has a well-rounded malt character, an aromatic hop character and a great complexity of flavours. The taste truly evoques the very best of Bruges!

Bottle, Brown 33cl. Brewed on the old Gouden Boom site by Palm. Best by 13 April 2008, drank 20 May 2008, a little behind the BBD. Poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass. Good deep amber, dirty old gold colour with a full slighty off-white head. Very little sediment got into the glass, but what did could be clearly seen through the otherwise misty body of the beer. Aroma of Toffee Apples and Candy Floss, was I at the fair? The taste tells you this is serious stuff, the alcohol is there straight away. Is it dry, bitter and sweet at the same time? Maybe, it doesn’t carry the Candy Floss into the taste, but toffee and cooking apples are in there. The mouthfeel isn’t right, it isn’t watery, but it isn’t rich, thick or creamy in any sence of those words either. A kind of alcoholic mix containing a headache making formula. Not sure about this, I’ve had it in Brugge and liked it a lot more than I did during the tasting, if I have another under reviewing conditions and it is a different drink I’ll re-do my review.

330 cl bottle, served in Duvel glass. Nice amber colour, somewhat cloudy, and with a very big, foamy head. Grass and citrus notes, but too much alcohol flavour coming through. An alright tripel, but there are a lot of better ones out there.

Well executed tripel from Palm Thick, fluffy head, buttery smooth texture, aroma of spice, hops, and hay. Taste mildly sweet and tart, butter, caramel. one of my favorites

From a 33 cl. bottle enjoyed with lunch in Brugge, Belgium. Poured golden yellow with a huge white head. Aromas of banana, spice, clove, citrus. Hoppy finish.

Bouteille 330 ml. Robe ambrée claire, collet blanc mousseux. Arôme: malt, levures, épices et caramel. Goût très malté, avec une touche d’épices et de fruits. Texture aqueuse, mince en bouche. Une trippel comme il y en a des tonnes...

25cl from the tap. Good head. Tasted more like a Lager than Abbey Tripel. Not worth the money.

This triple has a sweet and malty aroma and poors dark amber orange. It tastes smooth and crisp with a long tingling finish.

10/II/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 6/IX/15 (2013-155) Thanks to Alexandra and Doda for the bottle!

Clear light orange beer, big solid creamy white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very grassy hops, lime peel, smells like pilsener. MF: too much carbon, medium body. Taste: citric start, bit sweet, dairy, spices, cloves, some liquorish, bitter hops. Aftertaste: spicy, bitter, some orange peel, grains, pretty herbal, bitter. Not as bad as I feared! Decent tripel, but a bit plain.

Hazy golden body, white head. Aroma has some perfume and yeast, sweet malty character and mellow detergent. Flavour has alcohol warmth, sweet yeast and fruity malt. Quite mediocre tripel.
