beeR (51), Cantů, Italy Jan 7, 2009 33 cl bottle, alcohol store in Iceland.Ruby amber and clear beer, with a dense, creamy nutty head. Need to wait for worm in order to catch the aromas featrures, some malty and sweet notes and roasted hints. The flavor starts sweet and a roasted malty bitterness, with a dry finish and metallinc feelings. Medium body and good carbonation. The hopeless reseacrh of good beer in Iceland led me to the only one slightly characterized icelandic beer. rabbikrabbi (11), , Iceland Aug 12, 2008 33 cl bottle. Dark brown, medium body and thin head. Fruity aroma with a hint of caramel. Tastes of roasted malt, with a hint of coffee and caramel. Bitter finish. jimhilt (1492), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jul 27, 2008 Pours a three finger cream head that stays leaving a good lace. Deep mahogany color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Piney, malty nose. Flavor is roasted/burnt caramel, slight bitter finish. 330ml bottle 246 ISK ~ $2.95 Vínbúőin Hvolsvelli, Iceland. From my notes - 7/22/2008.
theisti (1231), Leawood, Kansas, USA May 9, 2008 330 ml bottle purchased at the Vín Búđ - Kringlan, Reykjavik, Iceland. Pour is light orange, ruby, brown - clear. 2 inch off white foamy head. Aroma is dirty chemical, some nut-caramel sweetness. Taste is better than the nose, somewhat sweet, smooth drinkable palate. fiulijn (6110), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Mar 5, 2008 Bottle at Rover, Göteborg; great generosity of Pelle
Dark amber color; creamy head. Light aroma of cereals, carmel and very light Saaz. Medium body strength, with a strong caramel flavor and some dark chocolate; it has a good bitterness level, but the caramelized malts cover the hop. The end is dry, as it seems to be quite common for this brewery. Not bad.
