2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 8, 2013 draft at 73 Restaurant and Cafe This was called Kaldi dark by Johanna the bartender. The beer poured a deep dark amber but not opaque with a nice beige head. This is a very balanced beer with a sweet aroma of caramel malts and so is the flavor. The beer also had an acidic side almost like cider mash. The carbonation was average for the medium body beer. The finish was sweet but smooth. No bitterness in the aftertaste.

As with the Kaldi Lager the aroma was a bit sickening sweet and its head was a bit thin, but it also tasted good. In fact this beer is even better than Kaldi Lager. 10/10 on taste!
