2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. [thanks to the parents and my bigbro]
Pours deep red-brown with a fine, staying, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, lots of toasted caramel, lightly roasted, some metallic notes (quite charcoal-like). Medium carbonation, a tad on the thin side. Flavour is rather sugary sweet. Light toasted, some roasted notes and a fair, grainy, earthy bitterness in the finish. Okay.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 8, 2013 draft at 73 Restaurant and Cafe This was called Kaldi dark by Johanna the bartender. The beer poured a deep dark amber but not opaque with a nice beige head. This is a very balanced beer with a sweet aroma of caramel malts and so is the flavor. The beer also had an acidic side almost like cider mash. The carbonation was average for the medium body beer. The finish was sweet but smooth. No bitterness in the aftertaste.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Drank on a ferry when shared by Eugene. Poured a hazed amber color with an off-white head. Light notes of smoke and roasted malt. The flavor again had light notes of roasted malt. Thin and watery with a hint of smoke and a touch of raisin. Light body. Should have thrown it overboard.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Several of us at the Grand Tasting found this to be one of the highlights, I did not. Bron colour, low head. Saccharine aroma and colour from E150 maybe. Obviously no deeper malt sensations, just like a mediocre Swedish X-mas beer. Bit bitter.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
33 cl bottle, alcohol store in Iceland.Ruby amber and clear beer, with a dense, creamy nutty head. Need to wait for worm in order to catch the aromas featrures, some malty and sweet notes and roasted hints. The flavor starts sweet and a roasted malty bitterness, with a dry finish and metallinc feelings. Medium body and good carbonation. The hopeless reseacrh of good beer in Iceland led me to the only one slightly characterized icelandic beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled, RBESG 07.
A dunkel, rather sweet. I don’t think that this would stand out in a bigger beer nation.
