Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 21, 2008 Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and very malty, while the flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and a slight tickle on the tongue from the alcohol. Thanks Emil for bringing this beer to Denmark. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 14, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a clear, golden with a small, white head. Clean, malty nose. Medium-bodied, sweetish malty with some floral accents. Light notes of sulphur before a dry finish. Kinda like a German Helles. 120108 omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 20, 2007 Bottled, thanks Mal3! Clear deep golden, fairly small head. Evident saaz hop aroma. Sweet with solid, buttery malt. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel and a fair amount of bitterness. Very similar to Pilsner Urquell. By far the best Icelandic beer I’ve tried. yespr (8539), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 33 cL bottle, noted down as Kaldi Lager. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head.
