Bottle in Brugge. Clear, dark golden color with a creamy, long lasting whie head and good lacing. Light aroma, slightly old summer fruits, a little soured and bold yeastiness. Sweet and bready flavor, some fruit and plentiful floral hops giving a nice tart, bitter bite and pepper in the finish. Medium body and priclky carbonation.

(Bottle 25 cl) My version originally from "De Gouden Boom" in Bruges. Pale golden, cloudy with floating impurities and a fat, sticky head. Fruity, fresh esters - I bet there’s quite some wheat in here. Extremely refreshing and well-made. A great summer-beer. 121197

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 CampbellWilson (533) - SCOTLAND - JAN 25, 2005
Bottle from Hotel Ibis, Brugge. No yeast evident. Blonde in colour. Aroma of honey, vanilla, fruit. Fairly bland blonde ale in the manner of Leffe or Grimbergen, not hoppy enough for my taste (I quite like the style, too, better examples are Straffe Hendrick or Antoon). I remember a better beer when it was brewed at Goudenboom.
