Dark amber pour with an off-white head. Metallic, roasted malt, and a bit of toast on the nose. Some hints of chocolate, light fruit, and some cola. The flavor is incredibly metallic. Plenty of roasted malt, a bit of chocolate, and a fairly sweet toffee maltiness. Some hints of dark fruit, a bit of cola, and a light sourness. Really not very good.

Bottle. Nose of dark fruit and brown sugar. Medium-dark translucent brown color, with a 1-2cm head, which diminished quickly. Caramel, quite malty, light sweet fruitiness, a bit of chocolate. Thin (for the alcohol level) and low carbonation. Mild, pleasant flavors. Doesn’t really pack a lot of flavor.

Amber brown body, medium head, bit too clean. Lots of caramel, fairly clean yet with a distinctly fruity yeast. No spices, no darker malts, little complexity. Caramel and candy sweetness, which is okay, but not much to balance. Can we have some spice? Decided to use most for cooking. (33cl bottle from Dranken Pauwels)

33cl bottle at home. Hazy brown with a medium slightly off-white head. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Quite sweet with very subtle botter tones. Caramel, raisins, malts, ripe fruits and some spices. Ok bok.

Bottle 33cl. Clear chestnut brown color, large frothy beige head, good retention, good lacing; aroma is roasted malts, caramel, brown sugar, raisins; taste is light heavy sweet and light bitter, malty, toffee, short duration; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste is mild sweetbitter, light nutty and spicy notes; bit disappointing, certainly not a Bock.

0,33l Flasche.

Uitzicht is mooi, amberbruin, mooi schuim, licht bruisend. Smaak is goed, vol verfrissend, lekker sprankelend en bruisend in de mond. Pallet is eerder neutraal, toetsen van fruit? Al bij al een lekkere verfrisser voor diverse gelegenheden, niet te zwaar!

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is dark amber colored and has a large broken white foam, with nice carbonation. The aroma is fruity and malty, little amber beer like. The taste is light bodied, with a sweet caramel taste and with some spicy bitterness near the end. The finish is light dry and bitter. For me, this has nothing to do with a bock beer. Better leave that to German or Dutch people.

Marrón, muy abundante espuma ocre. Aroma tostado, frutos secos, ligeramente herbal y madera. Cuerpo y gas moderados. Sabor malteado, tostado, frutos secos, madera, uva. Ligeramente licórica. Agradable postgusto. Buena.

330ml Bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a thick off white head. Very malty with a slight smokey aftertaste. Not the brewery’s best offering but still a very drinkable beverage,
