Served in large almost pilsner-style glass--highly unusual but it's what the brewer specifies. Clear bronze with a foamy head and chunky lace. Bready aroma is slightly bitter. Slightly thinner on the palate than I like to see in a tripel and maybe a hair too much carbonation. A grassy, earthy bitterness mostly dominates with a slight sweet edge. quick finish with very slight lingering bitterness. Not especially impressive.

Two tone brown and light brown beer with a frothy head, great appearance. Intense alcoholic and malt aroma, with a deeply alcoholic and bitter flavour. A great and intensly complex beer.

Clear pale amber, hint of sweetness, though balanced well by nice acid levels. Malty with hints of sweet white wine, slightly citric.

A slightly unclear amber beer with a fine head. The aroma is slightly fruity and sweet. The flavor is a nice sweet, malty, slightly bitter, and slightly wheaty flavor. It has a nice palate.

Bottle conditioned. Gold-bronze with a fluffy white head and good condition. Sweet aromas of hazelnut, malt and licorice. More licorice in the mouth with caramel and a corky note (not a corked bottle though). Finish was short, slightly dry and bitter. One of the few tripels I would want to drink more often.

Cloudy brown with a weak soapy looking head. Wide variety of flavors and smells. Slight burn going down due to the high alcohol content. Spicy undertones, well balanced without too much hop or malt dominating with just a touch of sweetness. Very nice all around!

Pours a slightly cloudy copper color with a big, white head that lingers. It has a good, spicy aroma of yeasts and hops with a touch of malts. The flavor is full and smooth, with a malts and yeasts pedominating the start and hops making a play in the finish. Another in a long line of wonderful Belgian ales.

(Bottle) Light copper colour with a frothy, white head. Hoppy aroma. Sweet malt, raisin, alcohol and spice flavours with a bitter finish. Good.
