3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 7, 2003
Brown/amber color with a big bubbly ecru head. Lots of extemporaneous stuff floating about. Heavy sweet aroma of dates, pears and apricots with wafts of alcohol. Strong overripe fruit flavors. Lesser notes of floral hops and spicy hops. Etoh comes out as it warms. Very light on the tongue. Quite acidic in the finish, with flavors of vanilla and coconut milk, cleanses the palate a bit much. Very much a triple, just not my favorite in the class. After the acidity subsides there are some long lastng flavors that are rather enjoyable.

A butt-naked marriage of malt and hops. Around your stunned tongue a delicate striptease of erotic fruit flavours. A satisfied moan from the stained sheets. Ready for another....
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Hansen (4608) - Assentoft, DENMARK - JUL 27, 2003
I don't know if I like it or not. It has a lot of things in it that's difficult to describe. Some tart sour, some wood.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 egajdzis (4587) - Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 18, 2005
Poured a hazy orange color with a large, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, caramel, citrus, spices, and alcohol. Taste of yeast, citrus, banana, spices, light alcohol in the finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - SEP 6, 2002
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2004 Nice more brown coloured for a tripel, great head. Lots of carbonation. Easy to drink, malty. Presence of alcohol is noticable.
Beer is okay but not too great. Overrated imo.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 thedm (4124) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 26, 2005
This bottled brew marked BBF 09/07/02 poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized mostly lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was very hazy with a lot of yeast chunks and brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of vinous malts and dough. Its mouth feel is tingly mildly vinous with a port like smooth vinous aftertaste. Its flavor contained raisin plum port like vinuous malty dark beer brown malts notes and was very tasty. An excellent beer that I would buy again.

This amber ale pours with a small white head. The flavor is malty sweet with a hoppy finish.

One of the most wonderful beers I have ever tasted. Hazy amber colour with a huge, beige head. Sweet, yeasty, musty, earthy aroma; the flavour full of sweetness, citrus and nectarine sourness, warm alcohol and a full, satisfying bitterness at the close.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Suttree (3925) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 14, 2004
Orange, cloudy - nice white head. Lotsa floaties. Flowery sweet aroma. Musty basement flavors. Very fruity - notes of apples, cherry and blueberry. Finishes rather earthy and winey.
