33cl bottle @Fish&Beer,Copenhagen. Dark brown with a red hew & creamy lasting head. Nose is caramel, yeast & dried fruits. Smooth, soft & filling body. Sweet taste of chocolate & raisin. Expects a lot from this style and this one was good - but still somehow average!

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruits as well as a light touch of cinnamon. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruits, as well as a light note of metal, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Keg (Halve Maan, Bruges)
Very dark red, large brief fizzy head. Not much aroma, sweet and a tiny hint of ginger. Soft palate. Some hops in taste, and a sticky burnt rubbery taste. Rubbery malty finish.

faroeviking (10288) - FAROE ISLANDS - MAR 3, 2008
Bottle. Hazy deep red-brown colour. Fairly lasting head. Aroma of well toasted malt, caramel and yeast. Same for flavour with a more vinious touch, alcohol and a good bitterness.

Bottle. [thank you, faroeviking]
Pours a dark lightly muddy brown with a great, creamy white head. Aroma is sweet, lots of dried dark fruits. Lightly vinious. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly sweet with some chocolate among the dried fruits. Quite vinious.

TaxiDriver (1472) - Stadland, GERMANY - FEB 27, 2008
Bottle. Sweet, molasses, very malty. Virtually no head, very dark body (red, nearly black). Light bitter, fruity and malty. Lively carbonation, dry and creamy texture, light to medium body, refreshing one!

hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2007
Very dark brown with a large, creamy beige head. Looks a picture. Sweet malty aroma with some dire fruits in the background. Taste is sweet and leathery with a little sourness but no pronounced dryness. A bit too fizzy.

rauchbier (3626) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2007
Tap, at ’t Brugs Beertje, Brugge, March 2006. Deep chestnut, good lasting white head and moderate condition. Gentle burnt toffee and roast barley with a touch of caramel in the nose, quite dry in the mouth with a roasted bitterness and some balancing sweet caramel and toffee, gentle burnt bitterness lingering in the finish.
