3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown coloured, with an rather small off white head. Malty-yeasty sweet caramel aroma, medium to full body. Finish is more bitter-sweet, with again the more caramel like flavor and some very light alcoholic touches. The blond one is slightly better, but this is also a good one.

I thought that this was right on par with the Brugse Zot. Dark, caramel flavors and slightly chewy. Not close to being one of the best dubbels I’ve had but a more-than-adequate regional experience.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This beer has a dark brown body - hue apperance and a fine light brown scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the tab and it had a no carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is like water with a light bitter afther tast. The beer was to cold served

Tap@Poechhenellekelder, Brussels. Malty and sweet. Lightly bready malt, with some chocolate, caramel and brown sugar sweetness, finishes relatively hoppy, which gives it some balance.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
At the Zythos beer festival St Niklaas, Belgium. Nice deep brown color with fine reddish chesnut colored body and with stabile light beige head. Aroma is well ballanced and nutty. The beer has a good dosis of refreshing hops in the nose. The taste is attactive. It has loads of nuts in the taste. the beer has a dry caracter and a clean taste. In the finish there is a great boost of refreshing hops that are well integrated in this very open and drinkable beer. One of the better commercial brown beers. Good job Xavier.
