Had at De Halve Maan in Brugge. Not a bad dubel but like it’s the other Zot not a super great example. Lacks a certain something. Serving: Tap

From a bottle in Kwizien Divien, Bruges. Deep browny red colour, thick white head. Bittersweet, some moderately boozy malts, a yeasty spice, and pleasant levels of bitterness. High carbonation. Drinkable for the strength. Quite a decent not overly sweet dubbel.

Riktigt trevlig.

The beer has a orange brown color and bas a little cloudiness. The beer pours a thick layer of rough brownish foam. The smell isn’t very strong. There is a little almondy alcohol aroma and some fruity sweetness. The aroma’s are soft and pleasant. Nice. The taste is great. The beer is tingly and has a nice bitterness. There is a raisin like sweetnes. You can taste some malts. The beer is very taste. I didn’t know Brugse Zot had a dubbel beer, but I am glad I discovered it.

A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruits as well as a light touch of cinnamon. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruits, leading to a dry bitter finish

Bottle 33cl @ La Panne. Nothing exceptional but an honest Belgian dubbel, quite tasty.

On tap at Nike pub. Body is clear brown, head is big, beige, creamy, mostly lasting, excellent lacing. Nose is slightly roasty, flavor is brown sugar, slightly toasty, dried fruits. Medium sweet, light roasty bitter. Finish is medium lasting roasty medium bittersweet. Medium body, slightly sticky texture, soft carbonation. Easy dessertish beer, bit too sweet for me but fine.

Bonito color ambar, turbia.

Bottle of this side-by-side with the Blonde. It would be rude not to check in with the normal fare. I prefer the Dubbel to the Blonde. That’s generally true of the styles actually. Pours dark Brown with a good creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt, sweet caramel and light doughy spice. A touch of moussey chocolate on the taste. Some hops. Not bad at all.
