In bottle in Bruge. Pours a dark brown colour with a decent light tan head. Aroma of Ovaltine, chocolate, caramel, yeast and alcohol. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. Lingering Ovaltine and chocolate again.

330 ml bottle via Belgiuminabox. Pours a red brown with medium head of large bubbles that dissipates quickly. Aromas of roasted malt and caramel. Slightly sour start with a bitter finish with only a hint of a Belgium in between.

Ein dunkelbraunes, leicht trübes Bier mit sehr vielem Schaum. Im Aroma grasig-hopfig, aber auch blumig. Im Antrunk dann vollmundig und nicht spritig. Der Geschmack ist nur schwach rezent und etwas hefig. Der Abgang ist schon etwas bitter, aber nicht unangenehm. Die Übergänge sind dabei fließend. Zum großen Wurf fehlt etwas prägnantes im Geschmack. Nichtsdestotrotz ein ordentliches Dubbel in einer cool designten Flasche!

33 cL into Brugse Zot glass at Verloren Hoek in Brugge. Dark brown, large bubbly creamy head. Very sweet, caramelly, hint of chocolate, very smooth, and a touch oily. Sweet caramel aroma. Only drawback is that its a bit too sweet. Warming, slightly boozy.
