SilkTork (3882), Rochester, Kent, England Dec 31, 2006 Bottle conditioned. Severe and unpleasant carbonation. Needs conditioning to become drinkable. And after that it reveals that it’s a rather metallic and unpleasant beer. Crude unfermented sugar sweetness, some rough alcohol, and a foul bitterness in the finish. About as bad as a beer can get and still remain just about drinkable. There seems to be little to commend this to anyone. It has no character, it is crude, it is rough, it is overcarbonated, it is badly balanced, the beer moves from sugar sweetness to a rough, unfragrant hop pellet bitterness in an abrupt manner. This is foul, foul, foul. At least global pale lagers are drinkable.
