A dark amber pour with a khaki head. Very metallic and off-putting aroma. Tons of prune juice, some toasted malt, a hint of roast, and dark fruit sweetness. A bit of spice and yeast, too. The flavor is quite metallic as well. Very heavy on the roast and prune notes, which is not pleasing either. A bit of cocoa, some mild clove spiciness, and some toasted bread.

Bottle: Poured a clear light brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of candi sugar and light caramel notes is tamer than I was expecting. Taste is also a standard mix of candi sugar and light caramel malt notes. Body is lighter than expected with some good carbonation. Sub-standard example of the style.

33 cl bottle, shared. Hazy, cola-brown with a big, bubbly lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, fruits, yeasts and faint liquorice. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with yeasts and caramel malts. Pleasant Dubbel.

Pours brown with beige head. Head is extremely stable, it won’t go away... Nose is Metallic yeasty and malty. At First carbonation is high but quickly gases out in the mouth. So mouthfeel is rather tickeling. Taste is nuts, hazelnut grainy and finishing in a dry grassy weedy hop flavour. Definitly a good beer..

Brown coloured dubbel with a beautiful, strong light brown head. Small bitters a d sweetness of dried fruit. Not a very long aftertaste, but very drinkable.

bottle. Sweet, very malty. Virtually no head, very dark body ( nearly black). Light bitter, malty. Lively carbonation, dry texture, light to medium body, Not what I am looking for in a dark brown beer.

I wanted to like this one since I like the ordinary Brugse Zot. But I don´t know, something is not right. It´s kind of sweet but bitter and doesn´t really have the taste at all, all at the same time. Weird aroma. Great head and color. But still. Cannot give higher mark.

Straightforward bit overcarbonated, but decent dubbel. Malty, some toast, dark dried fruits, caramel, some yeast presence, bread, bit too watery tho. Moderate to light sweetness all the way. Well balanced, but bit too thin for really nice dubbel

Aroma: malty, fruity, caramel. Taste: fruity, malty with some spices. Very nice warm feeling in the neck after drinking this. Overall tastes like intense lager with some spices and hints of caramel.
