Info: 330ml bottle, 29/6-2008 vyvvy (1582), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Jun 21, 2008 Pours copper / orange with a fizzy off-white head. The aroma has sweet toasted malt, Belgium yeast, lightly paper, basement must and some sweetness. Medium / light body with lots of tiny bubbly carbonation. The flavor starts with toasty bready malt, peppery spice, hazelnut and earthiness. The finish is overly spicy and doesn’t have much else. A fair Belgium ale. gmonroe10 (96), Netherlands Jun 19, 2008 Tap at ’t Loosje, Nieuwe Markt. Pours a dark brown with a bit of gold, one finger head. Sweet malt with a nice hoppy fast finish. Lacking a bit of complexity, but a good beer. kiefdog (305), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 18, 2008 33cl bottle from Habersham Liquors (Savannah, GA). Pours a dark golden honey color with a one finger white head. Good head retention and clearly visible particulate matter swirly in the glass. Smells sweet, almost like honey, with notes of caramel, slightly musty bread and yeast. Taste is much of the same -- slightly sweet, bready, notes of malt and faint honey. Light to medium mouthfeel with a quick finish.
