Commercial Description:
Bottle; Unfiltered.
In 2005 Xavier Vanneste, son of Mrs Véronique Maes, renovated and restarted the old brewery which had been in the family since 1856. He launched Brugse Zot, a new beer with a unique recipe. Today Brugse Zot is the only beer brewed in Bruges’ town centre!
The people of Bruges are known as "Brugse Zotten" (Bruges Fools), also known as "Brugse Jonckers"

Bottle: I think this is a rather underrated beer. A fine Belgian blonde with nice creamy head. Excellent pale color and aroma of citrus and malts. Some sediment in the glass, leaves little lace but has very nice flavor. Maybe should give it a try again in spring, not a cold weather beer.

Tap, at ’t Brugs Beertje, Brugge, March 2006. Amber gold, thin white head and good condition. Gentle sweet maltiness in the nose with a delicate hop note, sweet and yeasty in the mouth with some malt tempered by a low hop bitterness, low nutty finish with a yeast bitterness and a little spiciness.Reminded me of Palm.

Os bares e restaurantes de Brugge fazem excessiva propaganda dessa breja local. Trata-se de uma blonde amarga e um tanto aguada. No paladar, lúpulo e banana, com um toque de fermento.

Tightly beaded head, light gold color.. Aroma is fruity, banana, cream.. fair and balanced taste, but I expected more from the odd name and jester bottle art.. Doesn’t seem to be much to this beer.

Bottled(330ml). -Pours a pale golden colour with small airy head and sweet and spicy corn nose. Hazy golden after sediment. Lively carbonation. Weak malty, yeasty and light spicy taste with perfume alcohol and bitter hop notes in the finish.

Cloudy gold with little white head. Blond fruity & slight spicy. Light sweet & good aroma. Very pleasant in taste also. Medium bodied & well balanced. Easy drinkable & perhaps a bit too simple.
