Deep amber pour with a dimpled slick of suds. Snout is dry and vinous. Thin, lagery and aggressively fizzy for a Belgian. Sweet, malty and unspicy with a hint of sourish sharpness. More understated and neutral-tasting than when I’ve had it on tap. Half-decent lagery-lambicy ale but nothing to write home about. Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Apr 27, 2007 Draft @ Hamilton’s. Not bad at all, but compared to other offerings, this isn’t a show stopper. Clear like a pilsner and easy drinking. Hints of that Belgian "flavor" and a ripe, clean finish. hapjydeuce (771), Del Mar, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 24, 2007 On draft at Liar’s with jarspag, aroma mostly of Belgian yeast and some lighter fruits. Mostly a yeasty and citrus flavor to it, balanced nicely with light malt. Semi-chewy palate, which I like most about this beer. Much improvement could be done on the flavor though, a little bland to me. jarspag (595), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 24, 2007 Draft. Golden in color - really nice mouthfeel, but a pretty standard belgian blond. Nothing too special except for being very balanced. Flavor dominated by yeast, lemon, clove. Not bad, but not something I would recommend. benfergy (46), Valley City, North Dakota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 19, 2007 Golden color, large head. The aroma is kinda yeasty, kinda hoppy. The taste is very lager like, but kinda like a wheat beer too. A bit hard to tell. The palate is kinda harsh. It’s alright, I guess. Maybe I just had too high of an expectation since it’s a Belgian beer. JoeinUccle (902), Brussels, Belgium
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 17, 2007 On tap at the Halve Maan brewery. Cool place, for a tourist trap. Golden beer has a decent white head and golden color. Aroma and flavor are malty for a blonde. Also a touch sweet, but mostly wet and bland with a clean finish. Not much going on here. Not bad, not good, but I enjoyed the brewery tour. BelgianBeerGal (1285), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Bitter-sweet and tart, ascorbic finish.
