MissKicha (5), Denver, Colorado, USA does not count Jan 18, 2007 Tap at the brewery. Golden color with floaters. No haze. Light carbonation. Leafy nose. A slightly skunky flavor. Not one of the better Belgians. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Jan 16, 2007 11.2oz bottle, Notched @ February 2009. Pours a hazy golden with many floaty chunks and a three finger fizzy white head. Aroma of some dusty hops, mild oxidation, doughy yeast, spice, a bit of lemon and banana. Pretty sweet smelling. Up front is an off taste that I can’t describe--kind of overly sweet and past its prime old--with some paper and a dry finish. Highly carbonated, lighter in body. Not too good. altonbrownd (1862), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jan 11, 2007 Bottle at home. Orange, skunky taste. Sweet and citrusy. Spicy. Much carb, in the mouthfeel. Fair enough. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Jan 4, 2007 Bottle. Amber beer with a huge off-white head. Sweet malt aroma with yeast and some spiciness. Yeasty, spicy flavor. Very dry. Lingering yeast. Very high carbonation. SilkTork (4155), Rochester, Kent, England Jan 3, 2007 Bottle - unfiltered. A dry pale ale with spice notes from the yeast. Moderate carbonation. So dry this could be a strong lager. The interest comes from the yeast notes. The malt is too clean to be interesting, and the hops are lager hops and quite dull. Faint citric notes. Less than average beer. goozen (1061), Leiden, Netherlands Dec 30, 2006 A nice dark golden beer with a bitter, citrus taste an d carbonation on the Tongue, pretty nice cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 21, 2006 Updated: Dec 27, 2006Never knew this existed until found one at my company party. Boy was I surprized. Looks like any other pale yellow american beer. Aroma of yeast and when you taste it, it’s a bit bitter initially but not terribly. Regular beer flavor, nothing really different that I could pick out. Could be a bit less offensive on the taste buds. Nice tingly carbonation that picks at the back of your tongue. Finish is not real offensive but does linger for a while. JonMoore (1561), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Dec 15, 2006 Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a huge white head. Fresh citrus, orange peel and yeast aroma. Taste is sweet, spicey and fruity with lemon, fresh yeast and a light bitter and dry finish. Nice.
