COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
In 2005 Xavier Vanneste, son of Mrs Véronique Maes, renovated and restarted the old brewery which had been in the family since 1856. He launched Brugse Zot, a new beer with a unique recipe. Today Brugse Zot is the only beer brewed in Bruges’ town centre!
The people of Bruges are known as "Brugse Zotten" (Bruges Fools), also known as "Brugse Jonckers"

bottle poured dark gold and white head that went in seconds . aroma was promising - floral , yeasty , orangey nose similar to others of this style . taste was a let down - a sweet start became bready and grassy with an unpleasant bitter astringent finish . Medium carbonation , watery mouthfeel . Disappointed - maybe I got a duff bottle judging by some other ratings here

On tap @ Cohiba Café, Brugge. Cloudy, light golden colour with medium head. Fruity aroma, which carries over into a sweet, floral flavour. Very easy to drink.

Hazy golden-champagne colored body. Large white head on the initial pour. Spotty lacing. Yeasty spice, orange zest, a little bready malt, light herbal/grassy undertones. Medium bodied. Assertive carbonation, mild bitterness in the finish. A seriously under-appreciated beer.

Draft in Brewery De Halve Maan. So the unfiltered version. Aroma was a bit soapy and sweet. Since it was unfiltered it was a hazy golden beer. The head was white and sticky. Sweet opening and a bit sticky feeling, soft aftertaste.

This golden beer has a citrus and herbal smell. In taste it has the aroma of burned meat, with some bitterness and herbs.

Tutto molto belgian ale style, colore dorato con fine schiuma, aroma leggero fruttato e lieviti, in bocca scivola via bene, poco carbonata direi bevibile, è piaciuta un sacco alla mi moglie...

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow to light amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, basement), with notes of gum, coriander, pineapple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Straightforward and watery/fizzy, but decent enough for a basic Belgian golden ale.
