Substantial head. It almost started with apple, but that was not it. Perhaps a hint of ginger. Very light on the hops, the finish is a bit sweetish. Perhaps a bit of banana-ish hefeweisen in the finish. Very nice. Moderately complex. Moderate mouthfeel. Not a heavy drink. Tmoney99 (4714), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2006 Tried this at the brewery. A nice strong light ale. Malty, sweet, yet crisp at the same time. Nice big head that had a tendency to overflow the glasses. Definately a good beer. Maybe one day I’ll try the other Straffe Hendrick beers. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Bottle (from Bitter Virtue, BB May 09). Blonde with a bubbly white head. Sweet fruity with yeasty nuttiness. Full feel at the start with a slightly tangy finish which left a tingly bittersweet flavour. Malt character isnt too my taste in this beer slight sulphur character contributes to a lagery malt feel. Some interest but on the whole not great. Glouglouburp (2811), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
