Commercial Description:
Bottle; Unfiltered.
In 2005 Xavier Vanneste, son of Mrs Véronique Maes, renovated and restarted the old brewery which had been in the family since 1856. He launched Brugse Zot, a new beer with a unique recipe. Today Brugse Zot is the only beer brewed in Bruges’ town centre!
The people of Bruges are known as "Brugse Zotten" (Bruges Fools), also known as "Brugse Jonckers"

The aroma is fruity and metallic with malt, spice, and yeast. The appearance is golden with a large head. The flavor has bananas, cloves, malt, spice, and grass. The palate is thin. Overall an interesting but average beer.

Light orange to gold in color, slightly cloudy, thin foam head, sweet crisp wheaty flavor, slightly bitter finish on the palate, aroma is slightly yeasty, never been a big fan of the blonde ale, trippel is better but not bad nonetheless... Like a wheat beer with a pilsner finish

bottle. pours hazy golden with quickly disappearing white head. Lots of floating sediments. Aroma has notes of Belgian yeast, grainy and some fruits. Taste, yeasty, some malts, light fruits sweetness almost banana putting it right under an abbey style. Finish of light bitterness, with some spices felt on the palate and good bubbly carbonation mouthfeel. Disappointed by the overall palate.

330ml bottle at Novare Res. Pours a golden cloudy with a big frothy head. Aroma is light and foofy, like flowers, mint, and grass. Flavors are light also, just citrus, grassy, and yeasty. Subtle caramelly note in the finish. Smooth and soft in the mouth with a slight sting on the palate.
