Commercial Description:
Bottle; Unfiltered.
In 2005 Xavier Vanneste, son of Mrs Véronique Maes, renovated and restarted the old brewery which had been in the family since 1856. He launched Brugse Zot, a new beer with a unique recipe. Today Brugse Zot is the only beer brewed in Bruges’ town centre!
The people of Bruges are known as "Brugse Zotten" (Bruges Fools), also known as "Brugse Jonckers"

Although it’s nothing spectacular compared with other Belgian ales, I still enjoyed it thoroughly. Pours nicely with a thick head and I like the suspended particles...it gives the beer a certain uniqueness or identity. The taste was smooth with subtle notes of lemon and not overly bitter.

Pours a gold color with a ton of suspended yeast, and a thin white head. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Taste of citrus (orange, lemon), and some light spices (coriander). Not a big fan of beers with a lot of suspended sediment - probably won’t try this one again.

Had this one at Restaurant Olivier in Utrecht. Really hides the alcolhol well, nice combination of bitterness and lemon taste.

Blond color. The aroma is lightly fruity and well spicy (coriander). Dry mouthfeel, some malt, a lot of coriander and a strange bublegum aftertaste. Nothing special.

Yellow with tons of big suspended floaties. Thin white head. Spicy malty aroma. Taste is spicy, fruity a bit of lemon zest and musty.

33 cl bottle from eaglefan538. a june 10 stamped on bottle. Pour is hazed golden yellow with a ton of sediment. Head is 2 inches tall, white, with crackling carbonation. Head falls quickly with very little lacing. Aroma of freshly cut straw and wheat. Really natural, soft and inviting. Some floral sweetness behind the wheat. All very rounded and integrated. Lovely nose. Taste is acidic wheat, citrus lemon and soft floral coriander. Nice mineral character throughout. Finish is a little dirty. Palate is medium full, mouth coating, and a little chunky. Overall, this was a great smelling beer, that had a nice enough taste. Thanks for sending this my way Brian.

An obnoxious belgian beer that pours as 3/4 a glass of foam. Aroma is of ripe yeast fruit and sugar. Flavor is like weak, runny lime-soda and beligan ale mixed with a horrible metallic aftertaste. Palate is way too overly carbonated. Price is laughable and artwork on the bottle is ridculous.
