Borresteijn (446), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 21, 2008 On tap @ the brewery, last year. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of fruits and hops. Flavour is light, somewhere in between a Leffe blond and a Straffe Hendrik. Soft sweetness, a little dry. Metallic. OK. ryano (9), Australia does not count Aug 11, 2008 not a bad beer at all. Shits on most beers thats for sure. Malty with a mettalic aftertaste. Head diminishes pretty quickly though. Had this one on tap and is a nice amber colour. Reccomended. Beerman6686 (654), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 31, 2008 Poured a cloudy blonde color with an off white head. Aroma was subdued and malty with a bit of a sourness to it. Flavor was also a bit sour, but did not get in the way, of the sweet candy sugar and spices that this beer has. Not bad. porterhouse (915), Alna, Maine, USA Jul 29, 2008 (330 ml bottle (marked 4/09) from Tully’s) Pours somewhat cloudy bronze-ish amber with three fingers of puffy off-white head. Lots of chunks in the bottle. Aroma is kind of light candy-sweet, a touch fruity but not really a whole lot going on. Mouthfeel is quite soft and light but a touch fizzy as well. Fine sheets of lacing. Flavor is a bit yeasty with some candyish malt sweetness and light fruitiness. Has a more bitter finish than normal for a Belgian. Has a bit of a metallic note. Fair. durhambeer (378), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle from Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Clear golden pour with gauzy white and lasting head. Very bready nose with some metallic notes. More on the palate, really with some added mild citrus. Okay, but not great.
