Draught at the brewpub. Clear dark brown, small head. Mildly roasty nose. Medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Mid sweet with slight coffee and caramel. Slight spicy hops, alight coffee-like bitterness. A restrained, harmonious beer.

On tap. Nice dark brown color with thin foamy head. The aroma was a good surprise for me on this one. Nice roasty chocolatey aromas and light coffee notes along with a bit of brown sugar. Probably one of the nicest beer’s I’ve had in Russia so far aroma-wise. Taste is nothing to write home to mom about, a little bit disappointing after such a promising start. Kind of sweet, watery and a little bland. Some dark fruit flavors linger slightly toward the end and make up for it. Carbonation is low, especially for style but the palate as a whole is not bad.

Light amber-brown pour with an intersetung sort of coffee and cocoa flavour. Sme toffee and a little bit of spice. Chestnut and a little bit of sweet fruitiness. An almost minty component as well. A really quite unique Belgian brown ale

Draft @ brewpub, served in an English-style sleeve glass. Great color. Deep red. Head is small but healthy. Aroma needs to be more forthcoming, it’s too subdued. Is just a nebulous sweetish Belgian yeast character. Sweet palate. Too sweet. There is not enough malt character, just sugary with not a lot going on. But as it warms up, the malts come out and it’s better.

Light brown. Clear. Some mellow dark sugar notes, maybe some light fruitiness. Sweet, slightly sugary-molassesy. Fairly simple. But ok - probably needs food to work better.
