Allen (737), Wölflinswil, Switzerland Nov 20, 2008 Thanks a lot bov for this beer! Bottled 33cl. It pours a hazy nut brown beer with a huge head. Coconut, cinnamon and fennel accompanied by roasted malt in both nose and taste. Peppery. Some exotic fruits sneaking in. More roasted malt showing up with the swallow. Full bodied. Some lacework. Nice bitterness. Dry finish with hints of coffee, dark chocolate, aniseed and pepper. Cletus (3600), Connecticut, USA Feb 21, 2008 Bottle courtesy of bov. Pours brown with a thin dissipating off white head. Smells fruity with some nice spicy undertones. Taste yields chocolate, some spice, hints of caramel, some anise, hints of sugar, some nuts. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is peppery with some hints of chocolate. TBone (5261), Pori, Finland Dec 26, 2007 Bottled (BB 11/2008)
Muddy nut brown, small creamy brownish head. Perfumic nose with hints of fudge and nuts. Flavor has some bitter hops, sweetish maltyness and some sourness. Ok balanced, Belgi-style flavor. Hoppyness in the aftertaste. Some sourness indicates that bottle might has been a bit infected too. oh6gdx (6583), Vaasa, Finland Dec 18, 2007 Bottled (thanks Bov!). Ruby red colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is malts, earth and hops. Flavour is malts, some hops and a bit of mild caramel. More an earthy brune than a sweet one. Also some spices as it warms up. omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 16, 2007 Bottled, thanks Bov! Reddish amber, firm rich head. Aroma of orange marmlelade. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel. Almondy yeast character that goes well with the orange and flowery hops. Some pleasing late bitterness. Another good new Swiss microbrew!
