corby112 (671), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 11, 2009 Pours a cloudy dark golden color with some golden ripe banana yellow hues when held to a light source and a thick foamy white head that has excellent retention, slowly fading into a lasting cap with sporadic lacing.
Spicy aroma with a good amount of golden fruit; apple and pear as well as some lemon zest and citrus peel.
Smooth crisp motuhfeel and creamy medium body. Lots of light golden fruit notes; grape, apple, pear, lemon zest, citrus peel, alcohol astringency with a flowery subtle hoppy finish. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Aug 31, 2009

mike1977ok (633), Netherlands Aug 31, 2009 Light blond colour, thin head. Nice flavour, a little sharp and citrusy at first. Aftertaste is a bit spicy and dry. emotv (331), Izmir, Turkey Aug 16, 2009 Golden colour, tasted from 75 cl bi bottle with a cork on. Nice and medium head with a flowery and malty aromas in front . Another point low carbonation is ok. Above avarage blond abbey ale... MagnumPI (56), Essex, England Jul 15, 2009 "The Abbey beers of St Martin were Allegedly originally made by the monks in the Abbey of St. Martin in Tours (Tournai) from 1096. Now brewed by Brunehaut.
This beer was a major let down, although to be fair I wasn’t expecting a great deal. The third beer drunk on a rainy saturday in Witham during a game of Trivial Pursuit. Another beer explosion (the second of the day) meant only about 280 cl were drunk which was probably a relief. Insipid looking although a fair head, and really non-descript flavours. Really cant say any more than that harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 1, 2009 33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Wow what a gusher. Lost about a third to the floor. Luckily I was drinking this outside so it just went on the patio. What was left is a hazy gold colour with a thickish white head. Touch of petrol on the aroma. Bit thick and syrupy and some very unattractive cereal flavours on this. It’s not a particularly good blond and to be honest if it hadn’t gushed, then I might have poured most of this away. Poorish. DruncanVeasey (2690), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England Apr 10, 2009 Bottle at The Penguin. Dusky witbier haze with the bits tipped in, slim diminishing white lid. Orange rind, liquorice and assertive hop aroma, tangy with orange and pine. Peppery and dryish with conifer, bitter orange, marmalade yeast and hop tang, quite a glug of booze, slight heat leaning towards a lean, well-hopped tripel. Spice more evident in the nose than mouth. Lingering hop bitterness. Balanced blond. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Apr 7, 2009 Pours hazy orange/gold, with a white head. Aroma is yeast, spices, and some fruit. Flavor is fruit, yeast, spices, and alcohol. A simple, OK beer.
