3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 19, 2004
Trouble gold, amberish shine; lemon-yellow head, dwindling. Rather sweet nose, vanilla perfumed, and lots of citrus. Liquorice, and toasted malt, very uneasily paired with citrussy acidity. Retronasal again citrus, and some hints of hopbitterness. Light texture, spritzy but some filling by the malt. Bit of dry-out effect. Aimed at better, spoiled by inbalance. Not convincing.

This beer has a light yellow body - hue apperance and a fine white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had now carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is sweet.

Looks like a pale ale, like yellow, transluscent, with a large white head. Floral aroma of honey and pears. Flavor was fairly diluted, somewhat sweet. Finish is moderately sweet.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2004 Re-Rate: I found this more refreshing and really more solid all-around on my most recent tasting. Bumping up...
-------& if not distinctive belgian blonde. Orange, cloudy, head leaves nice lacing on glass. Well balanced, clean finish. Bready, a bit spicy. No complaints but it didn't excite me.

Cloudy sweetpotato-colored pour with a medium head which dissipates fairly quickly. Nice lace. Good, fruity flavor with some malty-yeasty notes. Very good mouthfeel with nice carbonation. Good finish.
