Bottle at Brux Ale, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear straw colour with a very white frothy head a lots of carbonation. The aroma is fresh and yeasty. The flavour is clean, crisp and with all that Belgian yeast and malt. It’s not too dissimilar to many other Belgian blondes I’ve tasted and it has many similarities with Duvel. It’s highly drinkable and il’ll order another!

Draft sample at VA Beer & Cheer Festival, 12/8/12. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized creamy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of sweet bready notes, honey and citrus. The taste is citrus, bready, honey, green apple, faint malty finish. Medium bodied.

11.2oz Bottle. The pour was a murky gold with a light brown hue and a small (1 finger or less) white fizzy head that diminished rapidly down to a thin film with a small collar, which did create some fair runny lacing. The aroma was of a light grain malt and a musty doughy yeast with notes of apple, pears, banana and a hint of spice. The taste was very malty with a nice fruity ester from the beginning, and then progressed with a strong yeast presence and a mild spicy bitterness towards the end. The flavor lingered for an average amount of time after the swallow, with a mild alcohol warming sensation at the very end. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a ticklish carbonation. Overall this was a somewhat light Strong Ale both in body and in flavor, although it does offer an exceptionally smooth drinkability...

11.2 oz bottle 9/11/12 (Binny’s Downers Grove)-46° in Trappist Glass-Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, spices, grains, and hay. Taste of the same with a bit of hops and more spices. This light bodied brew is well balanced and goes down quite easy.

Bottled 18/08/12. a goloden coloured beer with a white head. Sweet notes and yeasty notes in the nose. Very lagery in the mouth. Lots of saazz floral notes. A bit thin. Late pepperiness. Quite ordinary really.
