3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
11.2oz Bottle. The pour was a murky gold with a light brown hue and a small (1 finger or less) white fizzy head that diminished rapidly down to a thin film with a small collar, which did create some fair runny lacing.
The aroma was of a light grain malt and a musty doughy yeast with notes of apple, pears, banana and a hint of spice.
The taste was very malty with a nice fruity ester from the beginning, and then progressed with a strong yeast presence and a mild spicy bitterness towards the end. The flavor lingered for an average amount of time after the swallow, with a mild alcohol warming sensation at the very end.
Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a ticklish carbonation.
Overall this was a somewhat light Strong Ale both in body and in flavor, although it does offer an exceptionally smooth drinkability...

(Bottle, Delirium Cafť, Brussels, 27 Oct 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, tropical fruit and citrus. Malty, fruity taste with bread, dried pineapple, citrus, candy sugar and a balanced grassy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Quite nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Brux Ale, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear straw colour with a very white frothy head a lots of carbonation. The aroma is fresh and yeasty. The flavour is clean, crisp and with all that Belgian yeast and malt. Itís not too dissimilar to many other Belgian blondes Iíve tasted and it has many similarities with Duvel. Itís highly drinkable and ilíll order another!
