Bottled 330ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Brownish/amber coloured, medium sized beige head, dryish nutty and fruity nose. Quite fizzy. Moderate malty, nutty, overripe fruit and alcohol with notes of sugar and spices. Hint of roastiness in the finish. Weak yeasty also. Expected better one.

Hazy reddish brown, moderate head, good lace/retention. Aroma is sugar, caramel, yeast, light berry. Medium bodied, fairly dry.

Chipalsa (1307) - Florida, USA - JAN 20, 2014
This was a pretty decent Belgian brew with lots of spices and fruit in the mix of things. It tasted of ripe, bitter dark fruit with a splash of candi-sugar and rich toffee malts. I had acquired a 2011 bottle and seemed to do the style quite nicely. Cheers!

Poured a hazy deep brown color ale with large foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with good Belgian malt backbone. Taste is also a nice mix between some candi sugar and strong malt backbone with some notes of dry fruits such as raisins. Good carbonation and full body with no noticeable alcohol.

330 ml bottle. Pours dark red/brown with moderate head. Aromas of raisins, copper, spice, and toasted malts. Flavors of dates, liquorice, and dark caramel. Metallic and a bit watery but still a good quaff.

Flasche (33 cl). - Dunkles Rotbraun, rasch schwindender Schaum. Zuckrig-fruchtige Nase.

Rich taste, not too complicated, and notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, orange peel, licorice, soft bitterness spices. Sweet taste of malt, caramel, spices. Goes well with cheese. Haunting in bottles - it’s excellent!)

Caytinator (935) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - OCT 9, 2013
Pint on tap. Brown dull beer, not un-attractive but not pretty either. No lacing, small head. Aroma is a little malty/fruity/alcoholic but muted, not good. Tart unwelcome finish, different but i’ll get used to it. Brown sugar taste, some fruits, muted mouthfeel as well, far from my favorite dubbel but interesting enough to finish. Disappointment.

Deep brown/coper, clear, fluffy beige head. Aroma of toasty/nutty malt, lots of grape and plums, a little dark rum note, earthy spice. Flavor: soft, bready malt with a nutty character, cocoa, over-ripe dark fruit, a dry, earthy, dusty finish. Malt complexity increases as it warms.

33cl bottle from Bier Paradijs shared with a friend called Martin. Thin light brown head. Clear amber pour. A decent double.
