Very strongly malty, yeasty, cheesy and heady (head cheesy?) Oily body, thick head, penetrating aroma, some metallic notes. Well done.

Deep ruby color with tall, but quickly fading light brown head. Aroma is sweet and figgy with candi sugar and bubble gum notes. Perhaps it’s too cold, but it tastes a bit like an organic soda. Sweet, and fruity with prune, vigorously carbonated but too light and airy as a result. Carbonation throws it off balance, and screams for minerals or yeast character. $4/12oz

Bottle: Dark brown color with a fairly thick foamy head. Aroma is mostly yeast and light alcohol. Flavor is sweet and mild. Nice carbonation. A solid Belgian ale but not mind blowing.

Nice burgundy brown with a moderate head. Smooth sweet aroma of malty sugar. Pretty good brew.

The color is nice, deep red mahogany and the head is creamy. The aroma has sweetness and notes of malt, candy sugar, spices and dark fruits. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, candy sugar, caramel, spices and the finish has dry, citrussy notes.

Pours a deep ruby with a tinge of purple and loose-bubbled head that lasts about as long as it takes to write this first sentence. Aroma is fig, plum, alcohol, but mostly berry. I have to say that I dig this blueberry taste - if it had attempted to pass itself as a blueberry dubbel I would have been elated but as a straight dubbel it’s a bit off-kilter. Plenty of diacetyl in the finish with a hint of spice - as it warms it reminds me of your typical grape soda. No hops to speak of. Body is overcarbonated and thin. I do like the blueberry taste, and would probably drink this again, but it’s probably not a good example of the style.
