3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2 ounce bottle into chalice, bottle date of 5/2011 notched. Pours hazy golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty lacing on the glass, and plenty of carbonation streaming up retaining a nice head. Aromas of big lemon, apricot, citrus, pepper, biscuit, banana, tart grains, and yeast spices. Decent aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of lemon, biscuit, clove, citrus, grass, apricot, tart grain, pepper, candi sugar, and yeast spices. Lingering notes of pepper, biscuit, citrus, tart grain, and yeast spices on the finish for a bit. A little to grainy for my liking, but still well balanced. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel as expected for the style. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming on the finish. Smooth to drink for 9%, but is still a bit of a sipper. Overall a very solid and balanced tripel. A bit too much tart grainy breadiness, but I still enjoyed it.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
OMG! Just kidding =). This has an unusual color of golden spotting an olive green loincloth. Head rises to the occasion and settles when told to but leaves a pancake on the rug. Smells sweet and very BEER like. Full nectar with ample effers. Pretty basic with fruit turning brown. Long finish with a decent acid cleansing.

At Bad Apple. OK but not great tripel. Not crisp and tart enough and the sweetness level didnít quite work. The missus thought it was a bit one note. Serving: Tap

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Somewhat cloudy with decent lasting white foam, lacing to glass and upper lip. This is how it should be. Nice triple aroma, but than taste is bit dissapointing. Too little spunk, bit earthy, bit too sweet. Pitty. (Velp 201305)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle pours slightly hazy gold with a thin creamy white head. Aroma shows honey, yeast, and some non-descript citrus. Flavor is the same with some bready and spicy notes to round it off. Overall body is light to moderate sweet and creamy. Not bad, just didnít knock my socks off. Alcohol does poke through a little at the end.
