JoeinUccle (608), Brussels, Belgium Apr 28, 2008 Simple, easy-going pale ale in a farmhouse style. Would be an easy pairing for all sorts of food. 33 cL bottle at Le Brunehault cafe in Goegnies-Chaussee village... we’re sitting in Belgium but France is literally across the street. Pours a classic amber color with thin white head. Sweetish, grainy nose with some cider notes. Tastes lightly sweet before the mild bitterness and dry finish. Not exciting but nice, basic, bready.
BoBoChamp (255), Gent, Belgium Jul 22, 2008 33cl, alias Brunehaut Tradition, from Geers Oostakker, easy to drink, hazy, good head, nice brew, balanced Miksu (1181), Jyväskylä, Finland May 20, 2008 0.33 l bottle. Hazy amber color. Vanilla, bouillon, solvent, candy and lemon in the aroma. Yeasty and candyish flavor with vanilla. Fruity-bitter and yeasty finish. Unpleasantly yeasty. davidpl (393), Santiago, Chile May 11, 2008 Appearance: amber copper color. Medium, lasting and beige head.
Aroma: caramel malts smells with reminiscences to vanilla, some toffee, butterscotch and ripe fruits. Sticky aroma.
Flavor: caramel and light toast taste in the start, reminiscences of milk with coffee, butterscotch, vanilla and toffee. Yeasty progress. Mineralized aftertaste.
Palate: medium body, smooth texture and light to medium carbonation.
Remark: nice and sticky beer, with remarkable toffee and milk touch. But low hoppy and some mineralized excess. KimJohansen (2460), Copenhagen V, Denmark Apr 7, 2008 Cloudy amber with medium off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with yeasty and caramel notes. Very sweet flavor with peachy and yeasty notes.
