330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 6/2014. Pours hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of apricot, strawberry, plum, pear, apple, pepper, clove, caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of apricot, strawberry, plum, pear, apple, pepper, clove, caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, strawberry, pear, apple, caramel, toast, biscuit, brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian amber ale style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Aroma is roasty malts, yeast, pale fruits, clove , straw, very pale chocolate and vanilla. Taste is rich fresh sweet malts, lemon grass, clove and a slight earthiness. Appearance is a cloudy dark orange with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

330 ml. bottle sampled. Purchased @ Het Natuurhuis. BBF 02/18. Light red, orange amber, very patchy uneven tanned bubbles, largely on the side. Nose is a bit bland, plastic, light metallic, very cheap red fruit jam, cheap white sugar,… Fizzy,… Taste is perfume, plastic, artificial, very cheap jam, cheap white sugar, paper, candy sugar, cheap artificial sweetness,… Far too plastic, odd sweet, perfume, artificial sweetness,… Odd, not really for me, more for people into bland & very sugar beers.

On tap @ Zythos treviso. Ambrata carica, velata. schiuma beige fine. poca persistenza. Aroma di cereali e lievito. Grano (mais forse). Miele d’acacia più sottile. Gusto acidulo, abboccato all’ingresso leggermente tostata. Poco corposa, e poco carbonata. Quasi nessun calore. Abbastanza equilibrata ed armonica.
