A standard barley beer certified as containing less than 5 ppm of gluten after brewing.
ATTENTION: This entry is for the Bio and Bio-Gluten Free (now superseding the bio version). The gluten free is labeled with a small ’gluten free’ mark on the label.
Though this beer has been separated from the Blonde Bio, there is no evidence that the recipe has changed, so it is likely that the beers are the same. Do not assume that this will be a new beer, as the beers may be merged in the near future.

Aug ’14. A 0.33 l bottle from Bio Bio store in Split, shared with Marko. It poured hazy yellow body with big head. Fine caramel and yeasty aroma, a bit grainy. Flavor was sweet, sugary, also grainy with some light off notes (dogfood). Medium bodied with quite long sweet finish. Too simple and too sweet for my taste in Belgian ales.

33 bottle at home. It’s a blonde! Clear as a bell, white head. Bready, cereal aroma. Taste: slightly sweet, then light bitterness. Tastes of wet grain and bitter hop, quite pleasant. Palate is a little thin, but this is not a bad beer. It is not as sweet as some blondes and a good all-rounder, especially for those who are gluten intolerant.

Bottle with no gluten free mark on the label: Grainy and nutty nose. Clear golden, thick, lacy head. Nutty, cereal grains, lightly sweet. Light body, easy carbonation. Cardboard finish. Not awful, but I think I would tire of it fairly easily. Bonus point for gluten-free.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear deep golden color with medium creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma is grainy, yeasty and fruity. Taste starts with sweet toasted malt, following is mild fruity and sour yeasty with mild spicy mouthfeel and light bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Very decent brew...

I am about as enthusiastic about this Blonde beer as I am with the Brunehaut’s other biological beer, their triple. I love it. It has a very rich and full taste.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. Organic and gluten free. ABV is 6.5%. Pale golden colour, large and lasting white head. Aroma of grain, malts, dust, "spicy" yeast. Light bodied for its strength. Refreshing flavour, a little sweetness, but not too much. Notes of citrus and spicy yeast. Very moderate hops. Well worth drinking, even if you don’t need a gluten free beer.

Christmas day beer 3. Present from wife. Golden beer with medium head and patchy lacing. Aroma of light yeast, malts and a touch of spice. Taste is some banana, touch of spice and pale malts with some yeast. Fizzy pn the palate. Good.

330ml stubby brown bottle from a Casino in Marseille. Bottle conditioned. Quite sweet foamy blonde beer. The gluten has been removed. Generally it is considered that most traces of gluten are removed in the brewing process, particularly in long fermentations, so it is possible that this brewer has simply analyzed the beer, and fond such low quantities of gluten that they feel confident enough to promote it as gluten free, rather than that they don’t use barley. Other than being rather sweet and smooth, this tastes as one would expect a 6.5% pale malt beer to taste.

11.2oz bottle (Courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 40°. Color is a hazy gold with very active carbonation and a fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet corn, grain and bread crust. It has a lighter medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is sweet giving bland corn and sugar free grape juice, then a somewhat sour yeast taste shows in back. In the after taste the grape lingers along with a cider like feel. Overall I do not like it, maybe I got a bad bottle or something but this is just a terrible blend of flavors.
