A standard barley beer certified as containing less than 5 ppm of gluten after brewing.
ATTENTION: This entry is for the Bio and Bio-Gluten Free (now superseding the bio version). The gluten free is labeled with a small ’gluten free’ mark on the label.
Though this beer has been separated from the Blonde Bio, there is no evidence that the recipe has changed, so it is likely that the beers are the same. Do not assume that this will be a new beer, as the beers may be merged in the near future.

RSRIZZO (1931) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 8, 2014
11.2oz bottle (Courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 40°. Color is a hazy gold with very active carbonation and a fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet corn, grain and bread crust. It has a lighter medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is sweet giving bland corn and sugar free grape juice, then a somewhat sour yeast taste shows in back. In the after taste the grape lingers along with a cider like feel. Overall I do not like it, maybe I got a bad bottle or something but this is just a terrible blend of flavors.

0.33l bottle. Hazy golden color with white head and nice lacing. Aroma is spices, mostly coriander, wheat, yeast and fruits. Taste is moderate sweet. Medium to full body and average carbonation. Overall its nice and interesting beer, but nothing too special.

Pours a nice golden color with tons of carbonation and a nice fluffy white head. Aroma doesn’t give me much. Slight belgial character with notes of spice and fruits. Flavor-wise its quite a good blonde with tons of fruit, mainly a raisin-y fruit with some spice to it. Well balanced with a nice dry finish.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy light amber with frothy white head. The aroma is big yeast, light malt, citrus. The flavour is veggie, light sour with a yeast, grainy citrus palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

33 cl bottle, 6.5%, 2.30€. Yellow color, partly hazed, enormous white head. Weird nose, almost soapy. Aroma is grainy with sugar and starch, white grapes, apple peel, yeast, flowers, light spices, corn, banana. Moderate sweet and light bitter. Citric finish.

From a Bio Bio store in Split, shared with heavy. Poured a misty golden body with a big white head. Dusty aroma, orange peel, malty, standard Belgian yeast notes, but also slightly meaty, with notes of plastic. Creamy taste, yeasty, sweet, slightly carroty but finishing dry, with a distinct presence of something plastic-like... cough syrup too. Even taking the deglutenization into account (which raises the score by a couple of digits), a disappointment.

330ml brown bottle. Gold colour with haze and a thin, white cap. Nose has light malts, some citrus. Taste has grains, touch of citrus hops. Finish has light orange peels. Overall, good, not as nutty or cidery as most gluten free beers I’ve had.
