Douberd (1688) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JAN 11, 2014
Stubby bottle, 330 ml, poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 6.5%, gluten free beer. Pours a pale golden coloured beer, very hazy, with two fingers of white head on top of it. Good retention, light to medium lacing on the glass. Aroma has that typical smell of gluten-free bread, meaning very medicinal and to me at least not so appealing, but after a while the worst part of it seems to vanish. Taste is sweet, with sugar, malts and actually some hops. Not as bad as i expected. Medium body, okay carbonation. Overall quite good, taste wise doesn’t seem like a gluten-free product which means is quite tasty.

11.2oz bottle 12/5/13 (Jewel Clearance Rack-$1 bottle)-Nothing on bottle saying Gluten but found out not able to put that on in U.S so we have neck tags-42° in trappist Glass-Pours a murky golden with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, and grass. Taste of yeast, grains, and spices. This light bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.

Beer with some hints of flowers but no particular taste. Deceiving compared to the beers standing aside in the shop with same Belgian bottle shape.
