Bottled at bar hop 2, Toronto. The aroma is a bit like a cheap lager. The taste is full triple, except for the first sip. Weird combination, and if you don’t want gluten it will have to do.

Bottle 33cl. Clear deep golden, lively carbonation, large frothy off-white head, good retention, thick layer with yeast circles remains all the way, good lacing; aroma is fruity (apricot, peach), bubblegum, candy sugar, perfumy, vanilla, yeast; opening taste is medium sweet and light bitter, fruity, malty, followed by more bitterness and sharpish spicy notes, with long duration, bit yeasty; medium body, oily texture, aftertaste is bittersweet, grassy, dry herbal notes, hint of grain alcohol; overall a quite satisfying glutenfree Tripel.

Not bad. Want to give it a higher rating since it is gluten free. But it’s still beer. Still bumped it up a bit. Just a bit one dimensional, especially compared to thier Amber and and blonde.

33cL stubby bottle. Bottle date notched as March, 2014. So, about 20 months old. That may explain the moderate gushing once I popped the cap. Leads to a strong head, very large, and great lacing. Slick golden hazy body. Aroma is honey biscuit Belgian malts, doughy/cookie dough, light peach skin yeastiness. Airy yeastiness as well. Flavor is injected with a mineral character that cuts through the malt, some apricot esters. Flavor is rich but not sweet. Something really offsets all the Belgian aspects and makes me want to return for another sip. Its really my kind of triple, gluten free or not because this bottle does not mention being gluten free. Not bad for a 99 cent bottle on the discount rake. Poured into tulip/snifter Courage Imperial Stout.

Calisky (2177) - ALSACE, FRANCE - DEC 8, 2015
Couleur orangée trouble, forte mousse. Nez levure et leger malt. Gout malté, fruité un peu aigre agrumes, note de paille avec fin de bouche astringente et alcool. Malgrés tout bon corps et pas mal pour une gluten free .

Bottle 33cl shared by Calisky. A cloudy copper beer with huge head. Nose is light on yeast. Aroma is on malt and wheat, toasted touch, diacetyl, ripped fruits, good complexity for a gluten free. Astringent finish with orange notes.

HammerTroll (1018) - Pula / Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 7, 2015
Hazy color, big and firm white head. Aroma is empty, just a little bit of malt. Taste is pleasantly sweet, not too much, some fruit in the finishh. Bit creamy, micro lively bubbles. 8% abv is hidden well. Not bad. //Craft Room

BlackHaddock (5387) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2015
33cl bottle at home on 18th Nov 2015. Poured into a Chimay chalice. Mini haze to the golden body, on top a smooth foaming white topping. Not much of an aroma, some yeast esters and a little grain maybe? A little sweet in the mouth, with a malty/grainy feel to the flavour. Behind the semi-sweetness there is a hop bitterness trying to break through, but just about failing: some mixed fruits within the mix too. Different and almost interesting.

Hazy golden color, with huge white head, that kept a lace till the end. Medium to high carbonation, full bodied. Textures is oily to creamy. Aroma is apple, grain and dried fruits. Taste is very complex, with notes of caramel, dried grapes and plums, toffee notes, spicy, cloves, herbal and citric hops and yest. Aftertaste is astringent at start but remains sweet for long. For me the first best gluten free beer I’ve tried so far!
