Jerre (1464), Waregem, Belgium Oct 8, 2006 This is my second taste of this beer. (first was april 06)
Bottle, 33 cl. (Ronse). Redbrown color. Beige head. Malty, alcoholic aroma. Little sweet, creamy malty flavour. Aftertaste of cream and alcohol. Light bitter at the end. Great beer. (like the moast of Brunehaut products)
JorisPPattyn (4690), Antwerpen, Belgium Dec 12, 2004 Hazy brown with red highlights; medium head, yellowish and fast gone. Sweet spices, they say, but I get brandy cask, and a very vinous nose. A bit mouldy and very vinous taste, even brandy-like flavours. Spices are thery, but restrained. Very long-lingering taste. Rich full-bodied, little alcoholburn. Yes this is great - I can see an even better Makasi. Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 29, 2008 Bottled at Kerstbierfestival 2007. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of prunes and over-ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruits as well as lighter notes of spices - cinnamon and cloves, as well as lighter notes of prunes an alcohol, that leaves a burn on the back of the tongue. sayravai (3251), Helsinki, Finland Dec 18, 2007 (Bottled@Kerstbierfestival 2007, Essen) Dark reddish brown with a small, completely fading head. Raisins and rye-pudding in the sweetish aroma. Dried fruit and sweetish malt in the flavor, with some alcohol presence. Medium-bodied, low-carbonated palate, sticks into the mouth. A quite nice raisin bomb. MiP (6723), Flensburg, Germany Dec 16, 2004 Bottle. Malty, alcoholic aroma. Dark brown colour, small light brown head. Smells old. Creamy malty flavour. Aftertaste of cream and alcohol.
