Cask (handpull) Brunswick Inn, Derby. It’s one of those soft, subtle blondes. I prefer my blondes to be punchier. More daring.

Note to Mrs H: if you’re reading this, I’m talking about blonde beers. Honest.

More Angel Delight than lemon syllabub. OK but there’s better to be had here.

Cask. The Globe, Leicester. Thin white head, clear gold body. Citric, fruity, banana. Bittersweet. Bittersweet on the finish.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2008 Cask, prime condition, Ashby Sports Club, Hinckley. Watery pineapple, grass, marzipan and biscuity malt aroma. Mouth marzipan and Monster Munch mealiness. All the Ms. Sickly vanilla, nibble of Marstons-like cask wood. Something about this beer felt really synthetic, and did not sit right with me at all. Maybe the nauseating thick cornflour body, viscous like golden snot. 11 is generous.

Cask@Derby Winter Beer Festival, 2008. Lightly golden beer with a mildly dry aroma and a plainly dry flavour. Overall an average dry beer.

Cask, Derby Winter Fest 08. Light gold with a small head. Aromas are hoppy with light biscuit malts. Some bitterness. Flavours are dry biscuit with citrus. Bitter on the finish. Not bad.

Cask at The Brunswick, Derby. A dark straw coloured pint with a small white head; honeyed aroma; delicate flowery flavour with traces of honey; leaving a medium bitterness.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Brunswick Derby. A straw yellow coloured beer with a little tan head. The aroma is odd with lemon and vanilla cream notes. The taste is also creamy yet very bitter. There are notes of straw and soap. Strange to say the least yet not totally awful.
