Cask at dba Brooklyn. Deep brown/black pour. The nose is quite sweet and chocolately. A bit of chocolate and a bit of salty licorice as well. Fairly earthy hoppiness. Stick and a little bit sweet. Meh… it doesn’t really work for me. Seems a bit unfocused.

Cask at Brooklyn dba: Headless deep brown appearance- has a buttery/butterscotchy aroma. Some chocolaty notes underneath a barley roast presence. Slick body with a richly malty flavor- a bit sweet with a rummy and raisiny note upfront. This is followed by a roasted presence and some chocolate/mild coffee notes on the back. Not bad- just some diacetyl presence.

Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of chocolate, some roast, hints of spiciness. Tastes watery with some chocolate notes and a sweet finish.
